The Texas State Association of Fire and Emergency Districts (SAFE-D) is accepting applications for the position of: Assistant Executive Director.

The mission of the Texas State Association of Fire and Emergency Districts (SAFE-D) is to make Texans safer by supporting the men and women of Emergency Services Districts in the state. The Assistant Executive Director will report directly to the SAFE-D Executive Director, who is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and strategic planning of the organization.

The Assistant Executive Director will assist the Executive Director in all areas of primary responsibility – Administration, Membership, Education, Legislation, Financial Management and Communications.

Position specifics:

  • Full-time, salary negotiable
  • Educational requirements: Bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred areas of experience/knowledge: Emergency Services District/local government issues, organizational development, association management, non-profit leadership
